As a self described “product whore,” my make up bag is overflowing with creams and cleansers and washes and at least three or four devices meant to Brillo pad the first few layers of skin off my face.
It takes a lot to look like a barely functioning adult.
I started using anti-aging creams pretty early, like around my first day in college. And eye cream is a must-have if I’m trying not to scare the small children I share a house with. I’m pretty sure my husband stays around because I’ve got that forehead shine on lock down and the night cream I use makes my face smell like cherries. Sexy, I know.
Now that I turned thirty, I’m even more focused on the upkeep of my skin. Cancer runs in my family and I was a crazy teenager with a tanning addiction at one point so it’s time to beg the sun for forgiveness and reverse the damage, stat.
The only problem? Is my skin has started to forget that I’m not 16 anymore. AND ALSO, these breakouts are totally unnecessary. (capital u)
The HECK BODY!
We’re 30!!!! For the love of all things good and holy, I wish my skin would just start working with me.
I’d love to be one of those women who could slap on some mascara (my lashes are amazeballs y’all) and lip gloss and look like they were ready to hit the runway… but I’m not. Sadly, The Walking Dead look just hasn’t quite taken off yet.
I know my breakouts are mostly environmental, ie. weather changes, stress, too much chocolate in the pantry, and an addiction to the amber nectar of the gods – diet coke. (I can’t quit you.)
Any beauty tips you got? Any must-have products?
Anyone know the 800 number for diet coke drinkers anonymous?
