This tool works miracles for ladies with straight hair that are dying to try beach waves. It’s fool proof and it works and it’s practically magic. Seriously. I have super thick hair that won’t hold a curling iron curl if my life depended on it. I’m admittedly, kind of horrible at styling my hair. So if I’m feeling sassy and want to do something really different I can run this through my hair once and I’m set for the day.
I went to high school with Erin and she’s an incredibly talented photographer. She also happens to have spent the last few years working all over the world with Operation Smile. What an awesome job! She just completed her last year and has now relocated back home to Virginia and has opened up an Etsy shop featuring some of the amazing shots from her travels across places like Africa, Europe, Asia, and North America. I am crushing on this one for Knox’s bedroom, and a gallery wall of black and white photos in a man room wouldn’t be complete without this one. Check her out!
My favorite thing to do between the hours of 10pm-1am is to binge watch television shows on Netflix streaming. It’s not unusual for me to finish an entire season in a matter or days. Call the Midwife is an awesome British television show that is featured on PBS. Because it comes from across the pond, we’re forced to wait a grueling amount of time between seasons. Suck. But, y’all, this show is totally worth the wait. Season 2 just became available on Netflix.
The plot follows newly qualified midwife Jenny Lee and the work of midwives and the nuns of Nonnatus House, a nursing convent, part of an Anglican religious order, coping with the medical problems in the deprived Poplar district of East London in the 1950s. The Sisters and midwives carry out many nursing duties across the community. However, with between 80 and 100 babies being born each month in Poplar alone, the primary work is to help bring safe childbirth to women in the area and to look after their countless newborns.
