Confession: I love having a full calendar.
A day planner full of pencil marks absolutely makes me giddy. There is something so exciting about having something to look forward to, and it doesn’t matter if it’s a holiday or a doctor’s appointment, I am equally elated. Whatever, I’m weird.
Whenever I have more than two items on my calendar in a week I’m all, “POPULAR, I knnoooooowwww about popular.” I will go full-on Broadway style Kristen Chenoweth on you singing and dancing all over my house. I’ll be planning my outfits for days in advance, running a list of people I might potentially run into through my head, gotta look fly for that one particular person who’s opinion matters slightly more than everyone elses’! So you know I gotta dress to impress because I have soooooo many friends because I am so in demand right now.
It feels good to feel important.
But then of course, there might be periods of time where I have nothing going on.
My calendar is a big expansive space of white, my phone is quiet, my Facebook wall is starting to grow cobwebs, and I’m like “You guys, is everyone hanging out without me?”
J/K… The more I think about it, the more I realize that maybe I just really like obsessing about things.
