Pardon the dust around here.
Besides the usual tornado trail that life tends to leave behind I decided at 7pm on a Friday night before Halloween during a thunderstorm that it was the perfect time to change my website. I had owned and used bookofstefanie.com for the last two years but honestly, hated the name from pretty much the first day. It was super cringe-y, like Donald Trump cringe-y. It just made me feel gross.
My Facebook, instagram, twitter, pinterest, about me, and well, almost every username I have has been stefsays. And I do say a lot, so it’s rather fitting. This blog is really just a place where I write whatever. It has no purpose. I can’t seem to keep a schedule or stick to a theme. There are a million other people who are better writers than I will ever be, but if something I write makes someone chuckle or not feel so alone then I figure it’s not the worst habit I could have. And I have A LOT of bad habits. (not including diet coke.)
I hope you’ll stick around and kindly bookmark the new URL. Can’t promise it will always be funny or profound. Changing the URL and plug-ins and tech stuff was of course, an ordeal. I was sweating through my favorite t-shirt trying to make sure everything transferred over. I stress ate a plate of cookies. But you know that’s actually a pretty normal for a Friday night.
::cough cough:: Chased the cookies down with a bottle of wine, because WE CAN DO HARD THINGS.
But it’s done. PHEW…
Some pretty rad things have happened around our house lately. I passed my certification exam and did a hip thrust across the living room to celebrate. And I’m also officially four weeks away from finishing my master’s degree and being done with grad school. And as a bonus, I managed to not get divorced or kill anyone in the process, and that’s definitely something worth dusting your shoulders off for, I’d say.
